The Lumberyard
(just a few blocks away)
Located south of us at the bottom of State Street, this food court offers a variety of choices. Easy walk, though an uphill climb on the way back.
Porch Light Pizza
(less than ½ mile from the house)
Artisan-style, oven-fired pizzas. Annie recommends the “Silk.” (Thai pizza might sound odd, but it’s delish.) Javad loves the “Ben.”
South Fork
(south end of town)
The strip mall location might be a turn-off, but it’s lovely inside. And the food is fabulous. Try the Cougar Gold Mac ‘n Cheese or Bacon BBQ Burger.
Birch & Barley
(east end of town)
Really good sandwiches and a variety of menu items to please diverse tastes. Their ranch fries are delicious.
Roost
(downtown)
Cute café. Our favorite coffee and breakfast place in town. Annie loves their brown sugar latte. The breakfast menu is awesome.
The Black Cypress
(downtown)
Award-winning, upscale dining. Delicious food. Cool ambience. Make reservations, especially on event weekends.
Foundry
(downtown)
Hip, casual-but-nicer restaurant with cool atmosphere and patio area with fire pit. Have enjoyed everything we’ve had there.
Nayarit
(downtown)
Best-tasting Mexican fare in Pullman. (Rancho Viejo has a cooler atmosphere, though, and their food isn't bad, so take your pick.)
Mela
(downtown)
Bangladeshi (very similar to Indian) food. Try the chicken biryani. Lovely owners. Can take some time.
Old European
(south of downtown)
A fun place to try traditional European breakfast treats like Danish aebelskivers and German pancakes. Very popular—get there early.
